Formalini Forge: build desktop and web apps visually, with AI when you want it.

A Windows desktop tool for rapid application development: visual designer, code editor and AI conversation in one place. The editor, designer and build tools work without any AI key.

Project types

C# / WPFVB.NET / WinFormsCC++PascalVueReactReact Native / Expo

Visual designer

Drag, move, resize, copy and delete components, edit properties and colours, and undo from project history.

Code editor

Tabs, syntax highlighting, autocomplete, project-wide search and replace, and formatting for HTML, JSON, XML and XAML.

Plain-language apps

Describe what you want — a Hello World works with no code and no AI key; bigger requests use your own OpenAI or Gemini key.

Build and run inside

Build, run and read logs in the editor. Vue and React previews open in the built-in browser.

Data and hybrid code

Browse SQLite tables, bind them to grids in C#/WPF, and add a C DLL module with a generated bridge.

Git and extensions

Local Git and GitHub remotes, a command palette, dockable panels and ZIP extensions with snippets.

Requirements

Windows and the .NET 8 SDK, plus the compiler for the project you create: Visual Studio Build Tools, GCC or Clang for C/C++, Free Pascal for Pascal, Node.js and npm for web projects. AI keys are stored locally and protected by Windows.

An honest prototype

Forge is not yet a full replacement for Visual Studio or Delphi. Advanced features are strongest in C#/WPF, there are no breakpoints yet, and release installers are not digitally signed. React Native builds produce a source ZIP, not an APK or IPA. Review AI-generated code before publishing.
